Karen Paris is a photographic & video installation artist and curator based in Adelaide, South Australia.
In 2008 Karen achieved First Class Honours, graduating from the South Australian School of Art, University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) and won the Art World Magazine award for Best Graduating Student in Australia & New Zealand 2008.
Karen's work is primarily concerned with moments in time and the space they inhabit. Her work expresses these moments and their loss through a study of objects and remembered images translated into a visual story.
The subject matter varies between close up still images of bubbles (which combine striking colours and languishing liquidity), sentimental objects, and the elements of nature.
